Because I don't like it when I feel like someones being passive agressive to me.

Passive aggressive is easy to treat though-- ignore it! Usually when someone close to me is being silly and passive-aggressive, I just ignore them. They have to be outright or the problem won't get solved. And when they ARE outright, the problem DOES get solved... so it's good!
